Can't wait to see your new stars; shot cottons are awesome. Are they for your Christmas quilt? I would use a neutral silvery gray thread if itis for your Christmas quilt. I love solids quilts, and need to try my hand at one soon.

I love your green fabrics, but I agree that it's reading more green than blue. Maybe more of the darker blues, as the light ones look more low volume than blue. Great progress though! I pulled my colors, but then decided to finish older projects before cutting into them. Maybe this weekend I'll get my Penny Patch together.SeeMaryQuilthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16396012066995104274noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4527952054978883103.post-25582172014907875022013-11-06T22:38:51.664-05:002013-11-06T22:38:51.664-05:00I think it looks great! I also think I'm seeing a lot of the red running on the same diagonal (that's just what is standing out to my eye) so if you could alternate the little penny patches with the solid parts of that 4-square and have some of the red running diagonally the other way, I feel like that might break it up a little more. But all the colours are just so gorgeous, and I really love how effective this simple design is! Too sweet for words. I especially love the parts of Briar Rose - they just combine the colours so well and are so fresh, and add so much interest! There seems to be a green patch in the left corner, but adding the red may disperse it. A think a wee bit more blue will be perfect for making it read blue with pops of green and red. Your fusion star block is utterly stunning!
